CHILD PROTECTION
Oban Otters, as an Affiliated Club of the Scottish Amateur Swimming Association (SASA), have adopted the SASA child protection guidelines. These guidelines have been set in place following the full enactment of the Protection of Children (Scotland) Act 2003, enforceable from 10th January 2005.
The guidelines cover both amateur and professional people where close contact with children is possible. They are designed to give protection to both children and adults. Two courses are provided by SASA, the Good practice Course (essential for all adults with potential contact with children) and the Child protection Course (essential for the Club’s Child Protection Officer- CPO)
If you would like any further information regarding the above or have any concerns regarding child protection issues within Oban Otters ASC please contact the Club’s CPO in confidence: Carol MacTaggart
